Position Title:                     Account Manager
Location:                            Springfield, MO
 
The Account Manager is the critical customer facing role for the company who will lead/manage external and internal relationships to grow existing customers and develop new accounts to support growth and Sales Plan achievement.
 
Specific Responsibilities
•             Develop, document and execute a sales strategy & plan to meet defined sales goals and actions to achieve
•             Increase our share of business at Customers by clearly understanding both, customer needs/opportunities and client’s strengths to actively leverage them into   value propositions that meet customer’s needs.
•             Actively engage at all levels within the customer and connect to counterparts at client; be the voice of the customer
•             Work closely with Program Management, New Business Development, Project Engineering and Plant personnel to successfully develop and execute new programs for new    and existing customers.
•             Provide monthly, quarterly and annual Plan vs. Actual reports with variance reporting, recovery plans and sales pipeline
•             Determine pricing to arrive at desired sales and profit margin within the market. This requires a strong understanding of the markets, customers and competitors.
•             Develop sales quotes, in partnership with Engineering; track wins, losses.
•             Initiate and monitor customer requests for prices, samples, and other activities, including coordinating resolution of customer requirements and complaints with   the Plants using quality assurance, manufacturing, and engineering.
•             Maintain complete competitive profiles and a working knowledge of our competition.
•             Prepare and/or present customer and corporate presentations.
•             Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; maintain professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
 
Key Qualifications:
•             Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering or Science degree in related field.
•             Three to five years of industrial/developmental professional sales experience in plastics or plastics-related field.
•             The demonstrated skills to read, write, comprehend, and follow written, verbal, and nonverbal communication within all levels of an organization, especially customers.
•             The demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary for the supervision and for interaction with other employees as a team member.Strong ability to utilize today’s computer technology in the execution of his / her job performance for the use of communication, planning, analysis, reporting and management.
