My customer has manufactured exterior lighting and signaling systems for major automotive manufacturers for almost 25 years! Committed to continuous quality improvement, my client has earned QS-9000 and ISO-14001 certificates of approval. Now, almost 25 years and numerous industry firsts later, the company is an established industry leader, employing over 1,000 people. The Seymour, Indiana facility encompasses more than half a million square feet, and the company operates a manufacturing facility in Queretaro, Mexico and a sales office in Dearborn, Michigan. Leading automotive manufacturers rely on my client for innovative exterior lighting and signaling systems. 1 out of 4 vehicles produced in the world carry my client’s products.  Currently, my client has a need for a Methods/Process Engineer to work in its lighting programs based in southern Indiana.  As a Methods Engineer for this prestigious company some of your responsibilities will include:

Define tools, work stations and process organization in line with VPS principles
Final modifications and validations of manufacturing devices (process capability and ergonomics)
Prepare manufacturing documentation and train operators
Secure components necessary for pre-batch production, manufacture pre-batch products and secure delivery for the client with on time approach
Organize and coordinate full production day (FDPR) until process acceptance
Prepare and complement the Method file for individual projects
Use and participate in the updating of standards and procedures in the field of Methods.
Understanding and adherence to Network Process Rules
Represent the pertaining function within project teams
Production Preparation Process by using Design for Assembly, Design for Manufacturability, and Cardboard Engineering tools
Lean Process Design Activity
Process and Equipment FMEA coordination and confirmation of SPPC  linked with Design FMEA
Fulfillment of individual and team targets
Environmental, Health and Safety, Quality and Internal Procedures requirements follow up
Calculate costs for P1 and P0 projects with emphasis on productivity and quality
Applies Safety Culture & Environmental Policy                     
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
2+ years U.S. based experience in embedded process and/or assembly experience.
Knowledge of overall equipment development process from specification to industrialization and validation.
