My customer has manufactured exterior lighting and signaling systems for major automotive manufacturers for almost 25 years! The Seymour, Indiana facility encompasses more than half a million square feet, and the company operates a manufacturing facility in Queretaro, Mexico and a sales office in Dearborn, Michigan. Leading automotive manufacturers rely on my client for innovative exterior lighting and signaling systems. 1 out of 4 vehicles produced in the world carry my client’s products.  Currently, my client has a need for a Controls Engineer to work in its lighting programs based in southern Indiana.  As a Controls Engineer for this prestigious company some of your responsibilities will include:


Handle assembly line process evaluation and improvement
Design, engineer, and procure assembly equipment for future programs
Help maintain and re-engineer current assembly equipment
Program assembly equipment with assistance from Controls Engineers
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
3-5 years of Siemens PLC programming.
Previous experience with implementing and launching projects.
Experience reading electrical prints, ladder logic, and schematics (preferred).
Hands-on floor experience with manufacturing equipment is required.
Experience with robotic programming or camera systems is preferred.
Ability to communicate with customers both internal and external.
Strong problem solving skills and team focused.
Ability to work with outside vendors on preparing quotes and procuring process improvement equipment.
Writing and implementing work instructions, PFMEA, and all process documentation.
