My customer has manufactured exterior lighting and signaling systems for major automotive manufacturers for almost 25 years! Committed to continuous quality improvement, my client has earned QS-9000 and ISO-14001 certificates of approval. Now, almost 25 years and numerous industry firsts later, the company is an established industry leader, employing over 1,000 people. The Seymour, Indiana facility encompasses more than half a million square feet, and the company operates a manufacturing facility in Queretaro, Mexico and a sales office in Dearborn, Michigan. Leading automotive manufacturers rely on my client for innovative exterior lighting and signaling systems. 1 out of 4 vehicles produced in the world carry my client’s products.  Currently, my client has a need for a ELECTRONICS QUALITY PROJECT ENGINEER to work in its lighting programs based in southern Indiana.  As a Quality Engineer for this prestigious company some of your responsibilities will include:

Guarantee the quality level of the electronic developments, as well as the quality of products, according to the Constant Innovation Policy (CIP) and the Structured Process of Developments  ( VCDP).

Client needs someone that understands the impact of wiring harness and component placement relative to metalized lamp assembly parts with respect to EMC testing. They need someone that understands environmental testing and the indicators for shorten life of product.

To Promote the use of quality tools and ensure that the methodology of development of the project(s) is respected.
To Ensure CIP is respected and especially Build In Quality Standards
To Represent the Quality function in the project team and participate actively in the activities of project teams
To Anticipate and identify all products and process risks associated to the projects and manage the plan of corrective actions until the resolution of the problem – Escalate to management
To Define the quality objective and quality improvement plan / Quality roadmap (P1)
To Contribute to customer specification analysis for quality, reliability item
To Animate functional analysis and DFMEA meeting with métiers
To Ensure the internal communication of the risks
To Prepare and Participate to PVC (P2) / TSC (P1) ensuring readiness of all the deliverables required by the PVC (via check list) /TSC  and make sure that for each items requiring a decision from the PVC / TSC / PMC all the data needed are available
To Participate to the implementation of the system organization of the quality
To Ensure that the P1 quality member has up-to-date and accurate information to understand  electronic milestone, risk, validation status in complete system
To Participate to the validation plan according to the customer expectations, and establish the tests of calendar execution during the life of the project; coordinate all the tests made by contributors of reliability (internal /external Valeo)
To Participate of  the test equipment definition for design validation
To Initiate QRQCs in the case of Design Validation or Process Validation test failures
To Participate to the suppliers pre-FDPR and FDPR electronic process - collect encountered issues (in case of complex or innovative product)
To validate PPAP with SQA department network
To Guarantee the quality level of the processes during the industrialization phase with the suppliers until the initial sample approval.
To Participate to Design review including suppliers design review
To Validate the content of the VRFs from a quality perspective
To support RO or Production until end of project
To support project team meetings with customers and suppliers
To Guarantee that SPPC are identified and checked
After design freeze, ensure 4M Matrix respect with regards product and process changes
Applying the Environment Safety and Security procedures and good practices; know for their activities and the activities of subcontractors the potential risks and their consequences. Be attentive and responsive to them and manage the associated action plans
To Propose RPA for the project (applicable at  VLS or tier n)  (P2)
To Validate the trial e-component parts of the suppliers on the Valeo assembly line (P1)

Electronic engineer or non-specialized engineer with skills and tools quality
Professional Experience:

3 years of experience In automotive industry
2-3 years in Quality department (Development, SQA, Customer quality, Production)
Experience in EMC and Environmental testing.
Electronic education or experience
