Sr. Financial Analyst

Currently, our client is looking to hire an Sr. Financial Analyst working in Indianapolis, Indiana as a Sr. Financial Analyst for this prestigious company some of your duties and responsibilities will be:
 
The Sr. Financial Analyst (SFA) is a key contributor to the client Finance team, owning important processes and partnering with functional leaders to provide meaningful performance insight and analysis to the business, drive operational strategy, and deliver upon stated financial objectives.  The position will help develop, understand, and present financial and business analysis, while also providing support for process and cost improvements.
 
The position requires someone who is highly analytical, skilled at presenting complex data in a clear and organized manner and is able to influence decisions with data-driven business insights. 

Responsibilities

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Financial Partner with Field Management
    1. Serve as primary financial resource for Field Management, supporting leadership in decision-making
    2. Lead Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Business Review analysis and preparation
    3. Develop a profound understanding of the business model
    4. Support leadership by understanding their business challenges and proactively delivering relevant analysis
    5. Develop tools and models to better forecast financial results using multiple software applications (P&L and Balance Sheet) Review business unit financial statements for accuracy and financial trends
    6. Other reporting as requested
  2. Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting
    1. Own budget and forecast processes for functional areas
    2. Facilitate high-level review and presentation
    3. Establish strong cross-departmental relationships and partner with the business functions to drive positive financial improvements within the company
    4. Understand company goals and strategy and challenge budget owners to align their activities and budgets accordingly
    5. Seek to continuously improve modeling and processes
  3. Financial Analysis and Modeling
    1. Develop, analyze, and interpret financial data, reports, and concepts to appraise operating results in terms of profitability and performance against goals
    2. Trend analysis - financial and operational
    3. Define and implement metrics that matter and reporting tools to provide insight into business performance; develop meaningful KPIs from the data
    4. Modeling financial impacts of company initiatives and projects
    5. Monthly financial presentations and executive committee reporting
      4. Acquisitions
  1. Review financials and model acquisitions for submission
  2. Participate in financial due diligence
Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
 
  1. MBA, MS Analytics, or similar analytical Master’s-level Degree required
  2. Minimum, 6 – 8 years successfully demonstrated Corporate Finance experience
 
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
 
  1. Experience in a Distribution organization
  2. Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization product
