ASC Application Software Engineer

My client is a start-up culture that has secured funding by one of the largest auto-makers in China. They're looking to build L4/L5 autonomous vehicles and bring their vehicles to the US market. You will have the opportunity to drive the technical vision for autonomous vehicles, develop state of the art software for production vehicles, and solve difficult problems every day. They are looking for talented engineers and researchers that have strong software development skills, and are hungry to learn everyday, and are excited to build real world autonomous systems. 

● Work with world-class group of software engineers and scientists to design and implement chassis control technologies
● Track and apply the latest algorithm improvements from industry and the research community
● Develop vehicle controls logic, suspension system control logic, coordinating suspension, to perform in a natural and intuitive way, similar to a human driver.
● Perform software and model in the loop testing prior to deploying logic in a real vehicle
● Analyze data to assess and improve system performance
● Define early technical vision for respective subsystems
● Be active in all stages of an agile software development lifecycle
● Responsible for ASC functional requirements analysis, software architecture construction.
● Responsible for model-based development software specification and naming specification.
● Responsible for the implementation of model-based development functions.
● Responsible for unit test case development and implementation.
● Participation in ASC Control strategy development, assist in testing and calibration work.

● BS/MS or PhD with at least 5 years of prior experience developing ASC application SW
● Familiar with ASC core module control strategy, familiar with conventional control algorithm.
● Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle dynamics and vehicle chassis control systems
● Proficient in Matlab/simulink/stateflow, able to independently model and test according to requirements.
● Experience in a large OEM is preferred. Experience in mature mass production models is preferred. ● Prior experience with limit handling driving a strong plus
